I'm currently thinking of buying a Mx5, probably an import model. Does anyone own or have any information about a V-spec model ? (specs, engine bhp, etc) Any information will be greatly appreciated. (3/00)
I've got a '92 Eunos V Special 1.6 in British Racing Green with tan interior. It's got: Nardi wooden steering wheel/gearknob/handbrake lever, tan leather interior, tan hood cover (black hood), power steering, electric windows, radio/tape/cd player, electric aerial, air conditioning, 8 spoke Panasport alloys, drilled metal pedals, metal scuff strips and metal bits on the sills under the door with "Roadster" written on them and boggy brown mats with a metal V Special badge on them. Permanent big grin comes as standard. As for speed, bhp, etc., you're asking the wrong person, but it goes fast :-) (3/00)
V Special is a Eunos Roadster version only. UK had the Dakar , Merlot , Berkeley etc to name a few as special editions, and the SE versions as well. Just a product tag to indicate a special or Very Special version. (3/00)
The Mk1 SE (black) and LE? (green) are V-Specials, take a look at the specs. BBS wheels were added to some, if not all, to extend exclusivity. (3/00)
