I have a question for you knowlegable people
out there. I received my turn signal induction set form KG Works
yesterday (Stainless Steel variety) and after much cursing and
bleeding kncukles mamaged to fit the barstewards last night in
the dark! The TSI have an indicator built in to the design and
it was just a matter of disconecting the standard lights and slotting
the new connecter in. This was all going well, with both indicators
working well until I put the main headlights on - the indicator
lights come on as well (not flashing). It would seem the the bulb
in the indicator is dual filiment so when the the headlights are
on and you indicate you still getting a flashing effect with a
constant background orange light.
Few questions:
1) Firstly, is this illegal?? I still have working indicators
all round, it is just that my sidelights are now orange instead!
Looks rather smart I have to admit! :0) and
2) Secondly, if I wanted to remove the side lights function, how
would I go about it?? There are two wires running into the bulb,
is it simpley a case of cutting on of them?
3) Finally, I know the TSI's you get over here in body colour
plastic are an MOT failure possibley becuase they do not have
a front facing indicators?? Would mine be an MOT failure - I know
there are some friendly police people out there, any advice? (11/99)
