.. used to be look for Xenon bulbs as they are brighter .. but most will have them nowadays.. I just have cheap (relatively) Gunson Xenontime dc for 17 GBP from Halfords. .. oh and look out for two timing notches ... most cars only have the important one painted but I bought a UK engine with neither painted .. you want the LH one as you look down. | I bought a Gunson Superstrobe. This has a digital display and allows you to, digitally, adjust the retard, set the 'gun' for 2 pulses per cycle (the MX-5 sparks twice per cycle and will also provide an accurate tach on the inbuilt tach. This allows you to get the correct engine speed and tune effectively. A very professional timing gun - but not cheap. (3/00) |
