| Can anyone on the list advise the legality or otherwise of
stick on numberplates - one would look much better on the front
but I seem to recall plates have to be vertical (to reflect properly)
so anything stuck on the front of an MX-5 would be illegal? (12/99) |
| There's some legal definitions on our site at - http://home.clara.net/norden/plates.htm
(12/99) |
| Somebody commented that sticking the no plate deirectly to
the bumper caused the paint to crack..possibly due to the stress
of a straight plate being adhered to the curved bumper. Has anyone
else has similar experiences? (12/99) |
| No, mine had been on for 3 years, I removed it to move it down
the nose, no paint damage at all. (12/99) |
| It happened to me. Normal plastic plate screwed to the nose (not
by me) caused the paint to flake away near the screw holes. I ended
up paying for the holes to be filled and the nose resprayed. I then
fitted a sticky plate. (12/99) |
