I am doing a full service on my roadster and it would appear as though the old plugs were over tightened.. what sort of damage would this cause and any tips on problems that caould occur when the new ones are fitted (12/99)
If you've got the old ones out, you should be OK. Smear a very little copper grease on the threads of each new plug, and tighten them to 14 ftlbs. If you haven't managed to get the old ones out, start by squirting a good dose of WD40 down the plug holes and leave overnight. (12/99)
