| Just a quickie - has anyone had a spare key cut?
I got one last week, it went in the lock no problem but it wouldnt
turn, two keys later and lots of careful trimming by the locksmith
no joy. Is there anything special about the ignition key? (Its a
Eunos by the way) (1/00) |
| I too had a little troble in getting kets cut for my 93 Roadster,
but eventull found a mobile locksmith who had 2 keys cut for £12
in about 10mins. They were very stiff at first but after a bit of
oiling (oh er missues! :o) and a bit of pushing and shoving all
became well. I had troble opening the very secure (?) glove box,
but again eventully opened. (1/00) |
| Moral of the story is that you don't have to have a Mazda blank
you just need to find a decent keycutter. (1/00) |
| Needed a key for the Roadster...local locksmith did one on a Silca
key blank 'MAZ20R'. It's O.K. - perfect one way bit a little temperamental
("catches", needs a wiggle!) the other. (2/00) |
