| 1 mile from home, I heard a large popping sound and the engine
virtually cut out. I coasted to the side of the road and first thought
the exhaust had fallen off! Turns out one of the spark plugs had
shot out of the cylinder block!! The roadside recovery guy, said
my spark plug threads are probably stripped and will need re-helicoiling
by an engineering firm. Anyone got any idea of how much I'm looking
at, I think its going to be expensive! (11/99) |
| Nah, I wouldn't have though so. You should be able to get a new
cylinder head from Jay or
Ka Yu etc. for a pittance (or may be slightly more). Give them
a call. I am sure a roadster one will fit even if your car is UK
spec. :) Mind you fitting it will be a bit of a job though. :( (and
next time DON'T OVER TIGHTEN THE SPARK PLUGS!) (11/99) |
