My Roadster has a couple of plastic brackets on the left of the nearside footwell that would hold some sort of tubular object. Were these standard?? Or is it for something else? (1/00)
When sold in Japan they each had a flare which was housed in the brackets, to stand in the road as a warning when broken down. (1/00)

That would be for the distress flare, or incendiary device as it may be called. Not really the sort of thing to chuck in the engine bay in the event of fire, though it might give the smoke a nice pink shade... :-)

I know because my Roadster still has its. Somebody recently suggested it was illegal to carry in the UK due to it being an unlicenced explosive or something, but I didn't hear that, honestly Your Honour. :-) (1/00)
