| Can electric mirror glass be removed without
breaking it? How? Just give it a good yank? (11/99) |
Mazda instructions say:
1) Heat the glass with a 500W lamp (electric light bulb - floodlight
kind of thing) to approx 70degC for approx 3 minutes.
2) Then insert a scraper between the mirror glass and the frame,
and pry the mirror loose.
3) Remove any remaining adhesive.
To reassemble - warm the frame with a lamp, install the glass and
press gently. Doesn't say what sort of adhesive to use. These instructions
are for the 626 mirrors (11/99) |
| Anyone out there know how to remove the glass from non electric
door mirrors ? (3/01) |
| Use a sharp craft knife to prise the black retaining part from
the mirror body; its sort of glued in. (3/01) |
