| I have started to notice ice on my roadster
on a morning which started me thinking, (it does happen!) As my
poor little car lives outside in the bitter north-east winters I
was wondering if there are any hints/tips/advice on how best to
look after the rear plastic window. I don't want it cracking in
sub-zero temps!! (11/99) |
| I think there are only problems when you try and bend/lower a
plastic rear screen that is frozen. I've been through 2 winters
(coming upto a 3rd) in my 92 Roadster with no problems, but then
the rear screen is non original and appears to be much more pliant
than the original. (11/99) |
| I was talking to the bloke I bought my Eunos from about the cracked
back window on his wifes Eunos - apparently it broke when the temperature
was 2/3 degrees below freezing. All he did was open the roof catches
on the windscreen rail and move the hood back a couple of inches.
So be careful!! (11/99) |
| WORD OF WARNING: DON'T knock the plastic rear window from the
inside to knock off the ice. I have just cracked mine - a perfect
two inch crack. Anyone know of a good way to repair this, or am
I looking at the glass replacement? (12/99) |
| I would guess that a temp fix would be some clear water proof
tape (if you can get such a thing, boat repair tape comes to mind.
I have some for my kayak but it is not clear :( ). Sounds like a
good excuse for another present for your '5 and yourself though
sometime with a glass heated screen. (12/99) |
