During the day, whenever I depress the brake pedal, my headlights have started to raise themselves, as soon as I lift off the brake they lower. I've checked the fuse and it looks fine. (1/01)
Remove the brake light bulbs and try pressing the brake now, it could be a faulty bulb, have you changed any recently ? always best to try simple things first, failing that it may be a wiring problem. (1/01)
When a similar fault happened on mine it was traced to an earth point behind the steering column above the pedal assembly. Every time I depressed the clutch, the bulkhead flexed and the earth point moved. Yours may be the same earth point. I can't be any more precise as it was a garage that sorted the problem. With mine, the engine cut out at the same time which was a bit embarrassing. Also only one headlamp raised. (1/01)
