I had a bit of a fright yesterday, as the
angle I was looking at my Mk2 made it appear that one of my headlamp
covers was cracked. Luckily it was a trick of the light, but it
got me thinking. These are pretty expensive, I understand, so I
am tempted to buy them some protection.
Dealer Alternative ( http://www.dlralt.com/
) does some nifty looking invisible ones in the '99 section, but
they're quite pricey at 50 bucks a pair. Does anyone have any useful
ideas for alternatives/DIY methods? I *don't* want those horrid
thick perspex covers that you see around, but is it worth considering
sticky-backed-plastic, or something similar? (11/99) |

| What does a MKII look like with the headlamp covers installed
? Good/bad the same, are they easy to fit ? (4/00) |
Easy one this. In order...
1) Great. You'd never know they were on, apart from the clips under
the lamps themselves.
2) Yes. Two minutes per side. (4/00) |
