| Does any one have a part no. for a fan belt
for a 92 roadster vspec (ie 1.6 with A/C), is there a non Mazda
part? (11/99) |
| My Eunos fan belt snapped and the car broke down. RAC bloke came
out and fitted a standard one from his tool kit. I think it was
a Unipart one and cost me 6 quid. Probably worth nipping down to
Halfords, I'm sure they'll have one that fits. (11/99) |
| Anyone know the size / spec of a fan belt for a 92 vspec roadster,
is it the same as uk ? If not I'll have to order one so I need to
know the size. (11/99) |
| Easy. It doesn't have one! The fans are electric. Do you mean
alternator belt or powersteering and a/c belt? (11/99) |
| Doesn't have a fan belt - the fan is electric. The alternator
belt is the same as the UK one. Then there's another belt to drive
power steering pump and air con, and there are a different ones
depending on which options you have - presumeably you have both
PS and air con. This can be a tricky belt to find - Mazda dealers
will order it, or try Jay Ng? Also
there is a cam (timing) belt - this is the same as UK but there
are two variants - and the change was in '92. (11/99) |
| Ok so I'm a bit dim... it's the ps ac belt ? The longer one that's
on the n/s (right hand if your looking from the front of the car).
Any ideas as to replacement? (11/99) |
| They are 25-30 quid new. (11/99) |

Get down to your local industrial bearings stockist like BSL
Ltd. with a sample (you can drive without power steering and A/C
.. just a little less pleasant). They will provide you with a
replacement for under 10 GBP I would guess .. 12 GBP maximum I
think...
... next post the part number/length to the list so we can all
know without having to do the body builder impressions at the
steering wheel... (11/99)

| Can anyone tell me where I can get a belt from. I need the
one which goes round the power steering, air con etc.. the only
problem is that I also have a supercharger fitted ( mazdaspeed )
. I've tried various part suppliers, but no joy yet. (12/99) |
| "Bearing Stockist" in Yellow pages .. take along a sample. (12/99) |
