I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction with regard to the above. I seem to remember reading somewhere (the list, I think) about being able to adjust the tension in the boot lid spring, something about a small screw or something. I'm away to Skye this weekend with the Central Scotland crowd and don't fancy the boot continually closing on me with the high winds forecast. (4/01)

They are torsion bars .. look carefully at the hinge and you will see 2mm diameter wires which have a couple of settings .. you can tweak them up with a screwdriver to add extra twist but if you have any non pure bits like a spoiler or interior light .. you won't get it to lift. (4/01)
